The sweep of the Ladies' bustles cannot be seen in this 1889 photo of the Glucksberg girls Dagmar, Alexandra, and Thyra. However all wear close columnar skirts beneath cuirasse jacket bodices as well as long tight sleeves and high enclosing necklines adorned with brooches.
