This is a draft by Winterhalter of the well-known 1855 group portrait of Empress Eugénie and her ladies. Franz Xaver Winterhalter - [Menzenschwand 20 April 1805 – Frankfurt am Main 8 July 1873] - Works from 1851 to 1855 - [Last update 1 January 2009] has this note, "Preparatory sketch for the above (the previous picture - gogm). The ninth Dame du Palais appearing in this sketch is most certainly Mme la Marquise de Feray-d'Isly (1825- 

1889), née Mlle Bugeaud, who left the service in January 1855 and thus is absent from the final picture."
