1805 Elisabeth Alexeievna by Jean Laurent Mosnier (location unknown to gogm)

Empress Elizabeth wears a pleated bodice. Pleated bodices have center gathering bands and the pleats usually enter the entire height of the band. This pleated bodice has a wide gathering strip and the pleats fill only the top part of the band. She wears a pair of Renaissance-style shallow necklaces. She also wears a butterfly-like ornament on her near shoulder. Her sleeves are wrapped in glitter-treated diaphanous material.
