1761 (or ealier) posthumous portrait of Elizabeth Albertina (1713-1761), Princess of Mecklenburg-Strelitz, nee Saxe-Hildburghausen attributed to Allan Ramsay after Daniel Wage (Royal Collection)

I can find little about her, but a myspace article about Queen Charlotte's black ancestry lists Elisabeth Albertina as Queen Charlotte's mother. Information about the nature of the portrait is from a posting by CountessKate to the Alexander Palace Time Machine Discussion Forum, reply no. 5 of the King George III & Queen Charlotte thread. For the purposes of this Site, the portrait is dated as 1761 or earlier to date the dress, but the Royal Collection listing dates it to ca. 1761-1769.
