This shows Diane de France wearing a jeweled headdress, possibly an escoffion, with veil. Her headdress is fascinating - it looks like a French hood with its pair of jeweled bands, but does not come around the ears. Her headdress also includes a veil. The upturned square, crescent, neckline is very evident here; it was not just modest English who liked it...
