1870 Margherita wearing blue evening dress by Michele Gordigiani (location unknown to gogm)

Margherita's gorgeous dress has elements of crinoline (actually
crinolette) style, but the back is built up to form a bustle in this 1870
portrait. Her dress has a velvet over-skirt and bustle and a satin under-skirt
with pleated hem - under a lovely lace apron.
