Alexandra, daughter Victoria, and Princess Hélene d'Orléans

Princess Hélene was to marry Albert Victor, Alexandra's oldest son and heir to the throne. Quen Victoria did not want him marrying a Catholic, but relented. The Pope did not, so Hélene wound up marrying the Duke of Aosta. Albert Victor wound up becoming engaged to Mary of Teck, but died of influenza before the marriage. Princess Toria was trapped as Alexandra's personal secretary for life and could not marry. That may explain her facial expression.
