This is not the Duchesse d'Aumale who passed in 1869. I doubt anyone had the clairvoyance to estimate what fashion would do in the 1870s any time in the 1860s. This could also be a composited photo cooked up then or now.

The Lady, whoever she is, shows off a good example of later 1870s dress with fullness emerging from a little above the knee in this Appert (?) photo.
