ca. 1905 Lady Charlotte Russell (in St James court presentation dress), London by H. Walter Barnett (Art Gallery NSW - Sydney, New South Wales Australia)

Lady Charlotte's bodice has a steep vee neckline that is masked by the shallow vee neckline of her black lace bertha. The bodice appears to be sleeveless so there is are patches of bare shoulders between her dress and the bertha. The bertha appears to partially coneal elnow length sleeves. The waist band and shallow vee waistline of her dress are barely visible under her arms. Her dress also appears to have a swollen center bodice that creates a pouter pigeon bodice. Her skirt has vertical ribs and a black lace flounce.
