Lady Ellen Mary is very curvaceous, assisted by a tiny waist. The lack of sleeves is noteworthy for 1894, suggesting this dates to 1884. She was born in 1856 and she looks closer to 30 than she does to 40. However, her dress has a shallow vee waistline in keeping with the later 1890s.
