1786 (copy of) Marie Antoinette by ? (location unknown to gogm, 1786 original was at the Detroit Institute of Arts)

The authorship of this portrait is uncertain. The version at the Detroit Institute of Arts was originally ascribed to Vigee-Lebrun, but found to be somebody else's work. The batguano site has this image and batguano believes this could be a Vigee-Lebrun and dates this to 1805-1810, a copy of the 1786 portrait.

This 1786 portrait shows Marie-Antoinette dressed in almost Empire style with a square neckline and higher round waistline.

Keywords:  1786, Marie-Antoinette, Archduchess, Queen, Habsburg family, Bourbon family, French, curly coiffure, feathered hat, square neckline, fichu, bertha, lace, long tight sleeves, fur, tent over-skirt, Empire low waistline, necklace, earrings
