If this is Elizabeth Margaret Marshall, then this portrait could date to around the time of her marriage to Reverend George William Auriol Hay-Drummond which, according to her article in thepeerage, occurred in 1785.
Mrs. Drummond wears a dress with a scarf tied to her bodice and then draped aroin her shoulders. Her neckline and waistline are decorated with pearl ropes and she wears jeweled clasps to hold her bodice together.
