1786 Court dress

From pinterest.com/freem058/georgian-era-1714-1800/.

The artist has created an impression of actual depth harkening back to the era of robes volant in the early post-Louis XIV era - this is not a waffle dress. The over-skirt has vertical bands, the one to the right of center being draped and hung with a bow to create asymmetry.. The dress has a vee waistline beneath a section of white under-garment beneath the inverted vee of the tent bodice.
