This portrait of Mariana Vitória roughly corresponds to the 1729 Ranc portrait of María Bárbara, the reciprocal bride, but her dress is very close to that of Archduchess Maria Carolina's 1768 Mengs portrait and her coiffure would work in the 1750s. She may be wearing a cape that matches her skirt.
