1751 (estimated to be a few years later) Louise Elisabeth of France with family by Giuseppe Baldrighi (Galleria Nazionale, Parma)

Louise Elisabeth, King Louis XV's oldest daughter, married Infante Felipe of Spain, shown here with her, and they were given the Duchy of Parma. The people are l. to r. - Prince Ferdinand, Princess and later Queen of Spain Maria Luisa, Louise Elisabeth, and Princess Isabella, later Holy Roman Empress. Elisabeth Farnese, Queen of Spain, is probably the person seated at far right.  Parma was ceded to Spain under terms of the treaty ending the War of the Austrian Succession. Parma is located a little inland near the northwest coast port of Genoa on the Ligurian Sea. The adjective for Parma is Parmigiana or Parmesan, well known to pizza-loving Americans. The estimated date is based on her youngest, Maria Luisa second from left, was born in 1751.
