The days of high coiffures, Fontanges headdresses, and fripon curls are done. Mlle. de Charolais wears a luxurious, but casual, dress with a laced corset or under-dress beneath a loose over-garment with a criss-cross bodice. Her sleeves show a third sky-blue layer.
