SUBALBUM:  Elizabeth Wrottesley

Her article in thepeerage is here. According to the article that the 1771 Female Turf Macaroni satire comes from, she was surrounded by scandal, yet remained clean. This is something like what the outgoing President of the United States did, keep clean when surrounded by scandal (his first Attorney General came from a law firm that helped crash the world economy, his first two Chiefs of Staff were connected to big banks and his first Chief of Staff is Mayor of Chicago that is not known as a beacon of goodness or racial harmony, and his first Secretary of State and her husband reek of Wall Street, scandal, and me-ism, while his successor and his advisors reek of unprecedented corruption, scandal, and malice).
