ca. 1720 Lady Jane Hyde after Sir Godfrey Kneller (Watford Museum - Watford, Herts UK)

Lady Jane Hyde is dressed even more casually in this Kneller portrait than in the last one. If Crocs were available, she might be wearing them decorated with gold leaf. This portrait was probably painted before the one in the previous image. Something glitters where the cuffs of her under-sleeves emerge.

Keywords:  Lady Jane Hyde, Kneller, Hyde family, Capel gamily, Countess, long straight coiffure, trapezoidal décolletage, chemise, modesty piece, three quarter length under-sleeves, cuffs, criss-cross bodice, lining, elbow length sleeves, no waistline
