Henrietta, Countess of Abergavenny (1730-1768) by William Hoare of Bath (auctioned by Christie's)

According to her article in thepeerage, she had a brief marriage to Richard Temple in 1748 before marrying George Neville, 1st Earl of Abergavenny in 1753. This could be a portrait from about the time of her first or second marriage.

Henrietta was born in 1730; her youth and the style of painting suggest the early 1750s. Her dress has sheer shoulder panels edged with ruffles and a ruffled bertha or ruff framing her square neckline.
