Carrogis portraits of 1759

They are, respectively left to right, Madame de Maupassant, Madame de Villeneuve, Madame des Mousseaux, and Marie Adélaïde de Marly.

This set of images shows coiffures are still close and curly, neck bands are de rigueur, sleeves are about elbow length, engageantes are de rigueur, panniers are de rigueur supporting over- and under-skirts, and serpentine skirt trims are de rigueur. The dresses of two Ladies to left (Mmes. de Maupassant and de Villeneuve) are floral prints. the center right Lady (Mme. des Mousseaux) wears a striped print, and the right Lady (Mme. de Marly) wears a plain dress. The center left Lady (Mme. de Villeneuve) wears a robe à la française.
