ca. 1750-1751 Portrait of a Lady by Arthur Devis (Tate Collection)

From the Tate Web site; the image was extensively spotted with numerous linear flaws. Many of the spots and flaws were removed with Photoshop by gogm.

This portrait shows a Lady wearing a robe à la française with panniers, but not an open over-skirt in this Devis portrait from around 1750. Her bodice is opened to reveal a stomacher panel or under-garment. She carries a purse.
