1771 Madame du Dreneuc by Louis Carrogis (Musée Condé - Chantilly France)

Photo - René-Gabriel Ojéda; image darkened and size increased by half by gogm.

Madame de Dreneuc wears a high coiffure dominated by vertical curls in this 1771 Carrogis work. Her dress could be a circassiene. Her bodice appears to lay under a ruffle-trimmed over-bodice that spreads apart like the walls of a tent, continuing as an over-skirt.
