Hair began to climb from the close ‘dos favored since the French Regency in the 1760s, but that is barely visible here. The cuffs are 1600s throwbacks. The right sleeve of her dress appears to fit over the right sleeve of her robe while the left sleeve of her robe appears to fit over the left sleeve of her dress so she may be wearing an olive robe and a white robe over it. A small lace ribbon or a lace lappet slides under the bodice above her right shoulder.
