This is a close up from the previous image. A considerable number of spots and flaws were removed with Photoshop by gogm.
Several of the Ladies portrayed by Arthur Devis are dressed like Lady Gwillym is, with a sheer apron covering part of the skirt and a criss-crossed scarf atop the stomacher. The apron obscures the pattern or quilting of her under-skirt. The wide rever panel suggests this is a robe à la française, but the back strips are not there or just a patch is showing behind her cuff.
