Françoise Marie looks very young in this miniature. The scoop neckline with lace chemise spilling over and lack of fripon curls support that. Her sleeves are extremely complex with a set of straps matching her colorful bodice, plain slashed or split sleeves that appear to end in arm bands, plain white sleeves that may end in flared lace cuffs, and gold embroidered sleeves or cuffs below them. The bodice and over-sleeves appear to be made with dupioni silk or similar color-changing fabric.
