Front and side of Damenkleid (Rüstkammer, Staatliche Kunstsammlungen Dresden - Dresden, Freistaat Sachsen, Germany)

I saw the site the photos on the next image come from before I saw the site these photos come from and the dress was called “Damenkleid” so I gave that name to the same dress in these photos. These very high quality photos are from vanjaigic.rajce.idnes.cz-Macht_Mode,_Rezidencni_zamek_Drazdany-#DSC_0792; navigation marks, some reflections, and print removed with Photoshop. Also posted to Magdalena Sibylle of Prussia’s Subalbum here.

Vanjaigic’s caption: “ca. 1650; outer fabrics:  Italian; tailoring: Dresden, Electoral tailor’s workshop. Yellow silk satin; silver embroidery with sequins; silver lace; silver passementerie, fishbone rods. This ‘lemon coloured' ladys’ dress consists of a bodice and a long white skirt. The ornate silver embroidery with flowers and bows incorporates 78,900 silver sequins. The laced up bodice with shoulder width décolleté and tapered waist is reinforced with fishbone rods. Several strips of silver lace emphasize the shape."

The upper-puffed sleeves are set well back. It is adorned with strips of lace, including one placed where the busk of her corset would be.
