Elizabeth Dunch, later Lady Oxenden, by Thomas Hudson (auctioned by Christie’s)

This is her brief article in thepeerage, "Elizabeth Dunch was born in 1694. She was the daughter of Edmund Dunch and Elizabeth Godfrey. She married Sir George Oxenden, 5th Bt., son of George Oxenden and Elizabeth Dixwell, in May 1720. She died in 1775.

In 1719 she inherited Little Witteham. From May 1720, her married name became Oxenden.

Children of Elizabeth Dunch and Sir George Oxenden, 5th Bt.

Sir Harry Oxenden, 6th Bt.+ b. 1721, d. 1804

John Oxenden b. 1721.”

Sir Henry Oxenden married Margaret Chudleigh.

This could be one of Thomas Hudson’s earlier works based on her age that would be in her late teens or 20s and the title is Elizabeth Dunch, later Lady Oxenden.
