ca. 1896 Worth evening cape worn by the Countess Greffulhe From alaintruong.com:archives:2015:11:05:32884275.html

The Alain Truong French caption Google translates to “Worth evening cape called "Russian Cape", ca. 1896. Burgundy silk velvet embroidered with motifs of rosettes, mechanical lace, metallic threads, woven braid in multicolored silk threads, gilt lamé with taffeta weave, cotton tulle.

Nothing except the magnificent material and the Countess' head shows, unless the Countess wishes it.
