ca. 1680 (silk) Brocaded formal dress, probably Italian (location ?) From pinterest.com:krisalice:historical-fashion-1670-1690s:

The skirt of this dress is shown beneath a tabbed bodice that is partially covered by a stout stomacher embroidered with gold thread. The silk fabric was made around 1680 and the dress was probably made shortly thereafter. Portraits, especially many of those by Lely and Kneller, do not give an idea of dresses were worn in everday life looked like. This does. Hopefully, the pigments have not degraded.

Keywords:  Italian, tabbed fitted bodice, straight neckline, lace bertha, stomacher, elbow length tight sleeves, cuffs, vee waistline, full skirt
