1831 Marquise Chasseloup-Laubat (probably Marie Augustine Antoinette Le Boucher des Fontaines) by Joseph-Désiré Court (Musée des Beaux-Arts de Rouen - Rouen, Normandie, France)

There is almost no information about her. According to geneanet, she married Marquis Justin de Chasseloup-Laubat in 1835. He died in 1847 without heirs. She then married his brother Justin Prudent de Chasseloup-Laubat, now Marquis upon his brother’s passing, in 1850. She died in 1860 without heirs. He went on and remarried in 1863 and died without heirs.

From the museum’s Web site; enlarged by half. Also posted to the Revolutionary, Napoléonic, and Romantic Era Album here.

The Marquise’s very wide coiffure could almost have been worn by one of the Mancinis in the 1600s. All of the visible bodice is pleated.
