1791 Tomasa de Aliaga veuve Manuel Pablo Salcedo, Aunt of Infanta Maria Amalia by Antonio Carnicero Mancio (Museo Nacional del Prado - Madrid, Spain)

I cannot find anything about her than the note on the Prado’s Web page for this image.

From the museum’s Web site; filled in shadows and increased exposure. Also posted to the Iberian Style in the Revolutionary Era Album here.

1791 Tomasa de Aliaga veuve Manuel Pablo Salcedo, Aunt of Infanta Maria Amalia by Antonio Carnicero Mancio (Museo Nacional del Prado - Madrid, Spain) From museum's Web site inc. exp. shadows

Pre-revolutionary dress fades slowly away from Revolutionary France. Older people also don’t keep up with the latest styles as widow Salcedo shows. Her high straight coiffure is crowned by a dark cap, possibly of sheer fabric.
