Comtesse de Bersac by Jean Baptiste Santerre (Johnny van Haeften Gallery, London UK)

The Countess' dress has many elements of 1700s dress, possibly including panniers, and her sleeves are segmented as was the case in the 1600s. The coiffure, with curls over the eyes is turn-of-the-century. Her waistline appears to be deeply indented version of a vee waistline.
