Lady Henrietta wears a military-inspired riding dress with a long coat held in place by one button at her waist over a white chemise. Her lower skirt is decorated with brocade. Her waistline is marked by a shallow vee in her coat buttons and her chemise is puffed outwards above the waistline - a preview of the blouson and pouter pigeon bodices of the time around 1900.
