ca. 1810 Desideria Bernadotte as Crown Princess by Baron François Pascal Simon Gérard (location unknown to gogm)

Jean Baptiste Bernadotte was elected Crown Prince of Sweden in 1810 so this could be a get-to-know portrait. According to Wikipedia, "She resided incognito in Paris, thereby avoiding politics during the difficult period when Sweden was at war with France. However, her house at rue d'Anjou was watched by the secret police, and her letters were read by them."

Desideria's dress in this 1810 Lefèvre portrait is straightforward Empire formal dress with square neckline, high waist, and puffed sleeves.
