I doubt this is from 1837 - where is the vee waistline, full skirt, and straight coiffure. I would not be surprised if the date is 1827. The Duchess' dress is delightfully casual. Her neck region is clad with a chemise that has a ruff and her dress that appears to have a vee neckline adorned with lace lapels that expand to form epaulettes with two shoulder lobes.
