Emma Tobin, Lady Hillary of Fort Anne by ? (Manx National Heritage, Manx Museum - Douglas, Isle of Man, UK)

Everyone in the USA knows "Hillary" is a female first name, even more than "Elizabeth." But this woman, Emma Tobin from the Isle of Man married William Hillary who received a Baronetcy for organizing a militia, England's largest private army, to repel a possible invasion by Napoléon. According to his Wikipedia article, "...In 1813, he re-married (after presumably divorcing his first wife, as she did not die until 1828,[4]) this time to a local Manx woman, Emma Tobin..." This uncertainty presumably explains why she is not covered by an article in thepeerage.

He is credited with creating the Royal National Lifeboat Institution.
