ca. 1813 Louisa, Duchess of St Albans (1777-1816) by Anne Foldsone Mee (Royal Collection)

According to her article in thepeerage, she was the daughter of Louisa Tollemache and daughter-in-law of Catherine Ponsonby.

Anne Foldsone Mee’s portraits of beauties in The Royal Collection are often cheesecake portraits with Ladies made years younger than they actually were wearing décolleté dresses that show off faces and figures. The dress may or may not be 1813, but the Duchess probably looked like this around 1795.

Her Ladyship appears to be awash in a white dress adorned with gold bands and emerald clsps and a blue wrap trimmed in gold.
