ca. 1802 Pauline by Josef Grassi (location unknown to gogm)

Pauline was the daughter of Dorothea von Medem. Her Wikipedia article is here. Wikimedia posts a black and white print version of this image dated to 1802.

From forum.alexanderpalace.org/index.php?topic=7249.0 Posted by GvE on 19 February 2007.

Grassi portrays Pauline of Sagan wearing the simplest possible dress cinched around her waist by what appears to be nothing more than rope.
