While not particularly fashion conscious, especially after marriage and then widowhood, she did lend her name to the era. She was extremely-well documented in paintings, prints, and photos. Unlike many ladies in these pages, she had a happy marriage. Her husband, Prince Albert, died in 1861 at which time Victoria fell into grief and a widowhood that lasted until she died in 1901.
