Helena Nassau mother of Princess Helen of Albany

Is "Nassau" a) a county in New York and Florida in the USA, b) towns in Delaware, Minnesota, and Florida in the USA, c) a Bahaman island, or d) a former principality in Germany near Hesse-Darmstadt from which the former ruling family established branches in The Netherlands and Luxembourg? For this Site, the answer is d, but the other answers are also correct according to Wikipedia.

Her descendants include Queens Emma and Wilhelmina (and Juliana and Beatrix) and Princesses Helen, Pauline, Marie, and Elisabeth.

While I can not date this image, it is a good example of the use of lace in the berthas and engageantes of "Victorian" dresses. It also is a good example of period modesty pieces and necklines.
