Lady Margaret's dress does not have a crinoline. Additional material has been tacked to the upper sleeves creating cuffs that drop to knee height. The neckline would be fashionable in the 1870s, but this is 1862. She appears to be wearing an over-skirt with a lace peeking out of its margins.
