1850s middle Lady Gore Onsley probably by Mathew Brady

I cannot find anything about her or her probable husband in thepeerage or elsewhere and this photo was taken by Mathew Brady, an American photographer best known for his photos of the aftermath of US Civil War battles.

From www.old-picture.com/mathew-brady-studio/; spots and blemishes removed from background and coiffure with Photoshop and image enlarged one quarter and sepia tone removed by gogm.

Lady Onsley appears to be wearing a dress expanded by petticoats and flounces. She uses dark beads in her hair and a similar necklace.

Keywords:  Brady, Lady Onsley Gore, straight coiffure, hair jewelry, off shoulder vee neckline, modesty piece, wlbow length sleeves, engageantes, lace, full skirt, flounces, necklace, bracelets, handkerchief
