1631 Lady Anne Ruhout by Marcus Gheeraerts the Younger (Groeninge Museum, Bruges Belgium)

Lady Anne Ruhout wears a black dress with a huge goffered ruff and a lace-edged collar and hanging sleeves as well as colorful ribbons and bows decorating her bodice and balloon sleeves in this 1631 portrait by Gheeraerts.

Ruff and collar coexist. She has several puffs and many ribbons on her sleeves. While hard to spot, even with detail-enhancement (not shown here), her dress includes hanging sleeves, shown very well here once they are spotted. The saya influence died hard.
